PLANS to convert a convenience store into a funeral parlour have moved a step closer.
Winchester City Council planners have signed off on changes to the signage at the Bishop’s Waltham Co-op food store in High Street.
The signs show that the ground floor store is set to be transformed into a Co-operative Funeralcare outlet.
Chapman Lily Planning Ltd, on behalf of Co-op, said: “The former use of the property as a convenience store has now ceased and it is due to shortly reopen as a Co-operative Funeralcare. Replacement signage comprising a replacement fascia and hanging sign is therefore proposed to reflect the change of use.”
The plans for the listed building were approved without objection.
