A FIRE has broken out in a Southampton restaurant.
Firefighters from Redbridge and St Mary's stations rushed to Oxford Street where the fire broke out earlier this afternoon.
It is thought to have started in Kuti's Brasserie, with firefighter's seen entering the well-known venue.
Although the fire appears to have now been put out, crews are remaining on the scene to ventilate the restaurant.
The fire began around 12.30pm, before the stop message came at 2.15pm.

Crew manager Stephen Hunns said: "About 15 firefighters attended the restaurant and there was a large amount of smoke.
"Crews used breathing apparatus and are now ventilating the property. There was an evacuation, but I believe it was empty at the time apart from staff."
