OFFICERS were called to a dispute involving two people in the Polygon this afternoon.
Residents told the Echo of a police presence in Newcombe Road, Polygon.
A spokesperson for Hampshire police confirmed: "We were called at 12.15pm today to reports of a dispute involving a man and a woman in Newcombe Road, Southampton.
"Officers attended and both were spoken to.
"No further police action."
One eye witness said: "I saw policemen in a front garden and on the pavement.
"There was a police van and car parked up outside a house, at about 1pm."
