A SOUTHAMPTON man took his life after his girlfriend asked him to move out, an inquest heard.
Piotr Zieba, 40, was discovered hanged in his bathroom at the Shirley home he shared with partner Joanna Kumor in the earlier hours of January 25.
PC Lawrence Sharp told Winchester Coroner's Court that Ms Kumor, who didn't attend the inquest and spoke little English, had broken up with Mr Zieba and asked him to move out of the address.
Mr Zieba then went into his room, but when Ms Kumor couldn't hear any noise coming out, she became concerned and alerted friend Pawel Brezwski.
Mr Brezwski rushed to the address in Arthur Road, and discovered Mr Zieba's body. He attempted CPR but couldn't revive Mr Zieba.
The inquest also heard evidence from a toxicology report which found Mr Zieba, a warehouse operative, was 4.2 times the drink-drive when he died.
Recording a conclusion of suicide, senior coroner Grahame Short said: "He was clearly intoxicated prior to his death."
