FORMER Saints boss Mauricio Pellegrino has landed himself a new job, three months after getting sacked from his post at St Mary's.
The Argentine has been appointed as manager of Spanish side Leganes on a one-year contract.
Pellegrino has signed a one-year contract with the La Liga outfit, who finished 17th in the table last season.
The Madrid-based club is Pellegrino's third in Spain, after Alaves and Valencia.
It comes after the 46-year-old left Saints in mid-March and was replaced by Mark Hughes, who led them to Premier League safety.
The club won only five of 30 Premier League games during Pellegrino's nine-month spell in charge.
Pellegrino attracted interest from Saints last summer after leading Alaves to ninth-place and the Copa Del Rey final in his only season in charge.
It was enough for Saints to bring him in on a three-year contract, with the promise of attacking football.
He failed to deliver that and was sacked after one win in 17 top-flight games.
