A CRASH closed four lanes of a major Southampton road this morning.
The Bassett Avenue, near to Golf Course Road, was shut after a collision, around 2am today.
According to city travel bosses, the aftermath of the crash "blocked the entire road."
Emergency services were on scene, while the vehicles have now been moved to the side of the road.
Traffic bosses say the route is now passable, but have asked that drivers approach with caution.
Hampshire Constabulary said: "We were called at 1.57am to a report of a two vehicle collision on Bassett Avenue at 1.50am this morning (5 June).
"Ambulance attended, both drivers sustained minor injuries."
Bassett Avenue, RTI vehicles have been moved to the side of the road, and route is now passable but please approach with caution.
