DRIVERS are being warned of delays of up to 20 minutes in Southampton due to roadworks.
A queue of city-bound traffic is reportedly building over Northam Bridge and through to Bitterne.
It comes just a day after work started on a traffic junction where Northam Road meets Union Road and Princes Street.
Temporary traffic lights are currently in place.
Lane closures will also come into force from 9.30am to 3.30pm.
It is part of a two-and-a-half month project to upgrade the junction, which began yesterday.

Hi-tech monitoring systems will be introduced to help the flow of traffic on Northam Road, which connects the city centre to the east of Southampton.
Modern pedestrian crossing signals will also be brought in, in the hope of improving safety.
But drivers face more than two months of disruption during the project, which is due to end on August 30.
