POLICE have launched a car-jacking probe after a man was targeted by a gang of teenagers while he sat in his vehicle.

Officers are hunting four teenagers who carried out the car-jacking in Thornhill.

Police say a 34-year-old was sitting in his black Ford Focus on Burgoyne Road, near Warburton Road, when the group of four attacked around 2.30am on Saturday.

The gang assaulted the man and threatened him before stealing his money, phone and car.

They then crashed the car later at 5.30am into a garden wall in Grainger Gardens, Sholing causing significant damage.

Officers are appealing for witnesses and information after four men stole a man’s car from Thornhill on Saturday June 9.

Officers were alerted to the incident when the collision was reported.

The offenders have been described as between 18 and 19-years-old.

One was said to be Asian, around 5ft7in in height, of skinny build with dark hair and glasses.

Another was described as white, also 5ft7in, average building and wearing a grey tracksuit.

The third teenager was also described as white, 5ft7in, with dark blond hair, of average build and wearing a tracksuit.

The final teenager was slightly shorter, around 5ft5in, with dark blond hair, of average build and wearing a dark coloured tracksuit.

We are appealing for witnesses to this incident, specifically to those who may have private CCTV or dash cam footage and captured the robbery in Burgoyne Road or the collision in Grainger Gardens.
