LIFEBOATS went to the aid of a yacht that was sinking the Solent.
The 18ft vessel, with one person aboard, was half a mile east of the entrance to the Lymington River when it started taking on water.
Lifeboats from Lymington and Yarmouth were sent to the scene.
Crews managed to prevent the yacht from sinking by temporarily grounding the vessel as well as putting pumps aboard to get rid of the water.
After being refloated the vessel was towed to Lymington Yacht Haven.
