A MAN is due in court today charged with the murder of a Hampshire man who was found dead of a stab wound.

William Rudiak, from Winchester Road, Chandler’s Ford, died at a house in Andover on Monday.

Emergency services rushed to the scene at Turin Court in the early hours of Monday but Mr Rudiak was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

His next-of-kin are being supported by specialist officers from Hampshire Police.

A spokesman for Hampshire Police said that following a post-mortem examination they can confirm that Mr Rudiak had died from a single stab wound.

Last night detectives investigating the death and a sexual assault in the nearby village of Little London, charged a 21-year-old man.

Ben Harvey, of Ridges View, Little London, has been charged with murder, aggravated burglary, and trespass with intent to commit a sexual offence.

He is due to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court today.

The charges come after William was found in a house in Turin Court, Andover, in the early hours of Monday 11 June, having suffered a single stab wound.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
