FIREFIGHTERS battled a blaze the size of two and a half football pitches last night.
Crews from across the New Forest rushed to Badminston Lane, Fawley shortly after 6pm to the heath fire.
The firefighters were on the scene for more than three hours, before the fire was extinguished shortly before 11pm.
