THOUSANDS of people lined the streets to watch a colourful collection of floats make their way through a Hampshire town.
The theme of this year’s Lymington Carnival is TV shows – and some of Britain’s best-loved dramas were brought to life by the procession.
Some of the entries were be based on Call the Midwife, the hit series based on memoirs of Jennifer Worth.
Other floats portrayed The Flintstones, Father Ted, Countryfile and Match of the Day – an appropriate choice for a carnival taking place on the same day as the World Cup final.
The event also included a display by the New Forest Dance Academy.
