A MAN had cash stolen after a two knife-wielding robbers threatened him in a Southampton alleyway.

A 62-year-old was threatened while walking along Gordon Avenue in Portswood at 9pm on July 17.

Police have now released CCTV of two men they want to speak to in connection with the robbery.

Hampshire Constabulary said: "At about 9pm the victim was walking along Gordon Avenue when two men forced him into an alleyway. The men threatened the victim with a knife and demanded money.

"The victim handed over £40 and the suspects made off in a silver VW Golf."

The first suspect is described as white, aged between 40 and 50-years-old, six feet tall and with short grey hair, and of a slim build. He was wearing a high visibility jacket at the time.

The second man is aged around 30-years-old, five foot nine inches tall and of a slim build. He has short, dark hair, and was wearing a long-sleeved top.
