WHEELS of all kinds were out in force for a one day Eastleigh event.

The experts from Team Extreme were at Stoney Croft Rise skate park to give demos and coaching to youngsters.

There were scooters, BMXs and roller blades - and plenty of practise with some high-flying tricks.

The event was a bid to get youngsters outside in the summer holidays.

Pro scooter rider Terry Price - who says he was the first person to perform a double back flip on a scooter back in 2007 - said: "I've been riding for 19 years. That's when the sport started. I created most of the tricks in the sport.

"Today's to get the kids engaged and get them off the x-box and get them outside in the fresh air and active.

"It's free and we are doing demos and coaching as well as competitions."

Youth charity No Limits were also on hand to give advice to youngsters and there was the chance to make your own smoothie with a bike-powered blender.
