A TEENAGER has been assaulted in broad daylight in a Southampton park .
Police are appealing for witnesses after a man assaulted a 16-year-old girl by grabbing her by the wrist in Riverside Park today.
The incident happened between 1.30pm and 2pm.
The man had a finger missing on his left hand below the knuckle and was described as white, aged in his 30s to 40s, around 6ft tall, scrawny, with dark beard.
He was described as wearing a black unbranded hoody with the hood up.
Officers said the girl was not injured or threatened but was left shaken as a result.
PC James Morgan said: “This incident happened in daylight with a number of people around at the time.
“We are positive someone may have seen something, or have an idea of who this man is.
“Can you help us?”
