TWO young boys had to be rescued after they ran into trouble under a Hampshire bridge.
Firefighters and paramedics rushed to help the boys after they became stuck under the Redbridge Causeway around 2.15pm this afternoon (August 24).
According to firefighters, they were seen hanging on to the base of the bridge.
A crew from Redbridge rescued the boys, before handing them over to South Central Ambulance Service.
A spokesperson said the two boys were 'a bit cold', but were otherwise unhurt.
However, they were taken to Southampton General Hospital for a check-up.
The outside lane of the westbound carriageway was partly blocked, alongside the offlsip into Totton and drivers were advised to approach with caution.
Traffic also built up on to Redbridge flyover and Millbrook Road West.
The road was fully re-opened around shortly after.
