A MAN was shot in the face with an 'air weapon' during a robbery in Southampton.
The victim, 19, was attacked by a group in a car after they approached him and another teenager.
One of the teenagers was then shot in the face with an air weapon.
Police say it caused an injury to his cheek.
A phone and wallet was also stolen in the incident, which took place on Northam Road, Southampton, around 4am on Friday, August 24.
Both men were assaulted and attended hospital for treatment.
They have since been discharged.
Three boys and a man aged between 16 and 25-years-old were arrested shortly after the incident and questioned by officers.
They were released from police custody but remain under investigation.
Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have seen a group in a car travelling around the area before 4am with an air weapon.
