A MAN has appeared in court after a 26-year-old male was murdered in Totton.
Charlie George Thomas Cooper appeared at Southampton Magistrates' Court on allegations of murder.
The court heard that the 19-year-old attended the address in question with his brother.
The prosecution allege there was then an attack on Courtney Jones, who suffered fatal injuries as a result of "someone standing on his head".
They added that the incident also involved the "use of a knife".
The court also heard that of Mr Cooper's brother is currently in hospital.
Mr Cooper, who spoke only to confirm his name and address, did not enter a plea when his case was heard earlier this morning.
At the hearing, magistrates said "there is very little for this court to do" before ordering his case be sent to crown court.
Mr Cooper, of Ashby Road, Totton, was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Winchester Crown Court on August 31.
