THESE are the men police want to speak to after an elderly woman's jewellery was stolen from her home in Dibden Purlieu.

At around 1.30pm on August 22, the victim was at home at an address in Chaveney Close.

A man knocked at the door and offered to clean her gutters. The woman initially declined. The man insisted that it wouldn’t take long and it would look nice.

The woman agreed and the man gave a verbal quote of £20. He then disappeared for a short time and came back in a white van with a second man.

A short time later, one of the men then called the victim around to the side of the house to show her all of the moss he had cleared out of her guttering. He kept her talking for around ten minutes whilst standing between her and her back door. The second male then joined them and at that point they asked for their money, she paid and they left.

That evening, the woman noticed numerous pieces of jewellery had been stolen from her bedroom.

Police are now in a position to release efits of the men they want to talk to about the incident.

PC Della Quick, said: "This was a despicable incident where numerous items of jewellery has been stolen from an elderly woman in her own home.

"I am appealing for anyone who recognises these men, or anyone with any information to get in touch with us as soon as possible."
