THROUGH my letterbox yesterday came a flyer informing me of the Labour Party's plan to tackle air pollution in Southampton.

On it they list "the facts". Fact three states: "Tory councillors and their MP in Southampton don't care about your health. They are deliberately ignoring the impact of toxic air on the health of EVERYONE in this city"

On the April 26 in the Daily Echo under the heading "Parties vow to combat city's pollution problem" both Labour and Conservative leaders outlined their plans to tackle this issue, with the Conservative leader making this a "key priority". Conservative lungs are no different from Labour lungs, the pollution affects us all.

So who would state and distribute such offensive untruths?

No prizes for guessing who now runs the Southampton and Romsey Labour party.
