RESIDENTS are warned over wasps at a Hampshire park.
Glebe Meadow play area in Bishopstoke was closed on Tuesday to allow the treatment of two wasp nests.
In a statement Bishopstoke Parish Council said the authority was informed the wasps are in an agitated state for several hours before the treatment takes full effect and the play area was closed for 24 hours.
But the authority said wasps may still be seen in the area over the course of the next week as new eggs hatch and has urged anyone who sees more wasps in Glebe Meadow to clerk@bishopstokepc.org.
