HUNDREDS of food-fanatics flocked to Romsey this weekend to welcome the return of their annual food festival.

Romsey Food Festival saw its seventh year on Sunday with a total of 65 stalls of local produce.

The event started at 10am in Romsey town centre and finished at 4pm.

As well as stalls serving food, there was family-fun available with circus acts, face painting and craft stalls.

Kidsrome Farm attended the event offering children fun activities including a petting zoo of farm animals.

There was also live music from local band Retro Swing in the White Horse Courtyard.

Committee member Sophie Saxton, 30, said: "We've had some really excellent feedback from visitors, it was great to see Romsey so busy.

"Everyone loved that all of the stalls were local to Romsey and everything was locally produced.

"This year has been really successful, the weather has really helped too.

"We are looking forward to next year."

This year, the festival was joined by a vegan fair promoting and selling food free from any type of animal product.

The event also offered visitors the chance to learn new skills with cake decorating and craft stalls open to all regardless of ability.
