THREE teenagers have been charged after a Southampton pub was targeted by armed robbers.

Police say a hammer wielding group threatened staff at The Bellemoor Tavern, on Hill Lane, on Sunday.

A similar incident also took place at a petrol station in North Baddesley on Saturday.

Police say a group of four stole cash and cigarettes from the BP Garage on Botley Road, after entering around 10.20pm.

A group of three people, also armed with a hammer, then targeted The Bellemoor Tavern on Sunday, just after 1am.

The group threatened staff, but left the pub empty handed.

Detectives say they have now charged three people following the two robberies.

Jordan Peat, 18, Kingsclere Avenue, Southampton has been charged with robbery and attempt robbery.

A 16-year-old boy from Southampton and a 15-year-old boy, also from Southampton, has been charged with robbery and attempted robbery.

They will appear before Southampton Magistrates Court today.
