LEE-on-the-Solent has today

– very effectively and quietly –

been cut off.

The last First Bus bus

everyday is at 7.p.m which

means that if you go out, you

cannot get back.

This move by First Bus is a

desperate measure by them

to safeguard their dwindling

profits, by removing the less

popular and profitable services.

When Mrs Thatcher privatised

the buses some decades ago,

this is NOT what she intended:

she wanted competition by

several companies on the bus

routes, NOT this local monopoly

by First Bus, who can now do

whatever they want.
