Southampton High Street (Google Street View)
NEW flats will be built in Southampton city centre.
The first and second floor of 160-161 High Street can now be transformed into six apartments after developers were granted planning permission to build on the site.
It was given the green light by Southampton City Council, and the former office block will also have bin storage created on the ground floor.
