Bus company Bluestar has confirmed the bus is one of its vehicles.
A spokesperson for the company said the bus had no passengers on board and was on its way to the start of a route.
The spokesperson said: "We can confirm that one of our buses is broken down on the road but it was running empty so there were no passengers on board.“It was on its way to start a route and a replacement bus service will now take over the route.
“It’s rare for this to happen but engineers have been sent out to go and collect the vehicle.
“We apologise for any delays caused by this.”
