EMERGENCY services rushed to a Southampton bridge last night.
Police, paramedics and coastguard were all seen on Northam Bridge yesterday evening (September 12).
Coastguard bosses have now confirmed they were dealing with a report of a person 'jumping' from the bridge.
However, they say there nothing was found.
A statement on social media said: "Team tasked alongside our flank team Southampton Coastguard Rescue Team as part of a multi agency Coastguard led response to reports of a person in the water near to Northam bridge.
"Supported by Bristow Group Coastguard Rescue 175, RNLI Calshot Lifeboat, Hampshire Constabulary, ABP Southampton - Port of Southampton, Hants Police Marine Unit and South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust.
"After an extensive searching nothing was found and all units were stood down."
