POLICE have charged two men with alleged drugs offences following an armed police raid in Southampton.
It comes after armed police wearing balaclavas swooped on Archers Road, Southampton on Tuesday.
Officers stopped a vehicle on the road and arrested five men.
Another man was arrested on a raid at a nearby property in Newcombe Road.
Police say they have charged two men on allegations of drug offences.
Simon Tekle, 22, of Newcombe Road, Southampton has been charged with an allegation of possession of an imitation firearm and an allegation of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class B.
Sylwester Idziak, 31, of Winchester Road, Southampton, has been charged with allegations of two counts of conspiracy to supply a controlled drug of Class B and an allegation of possession of an imitation firearm.
The pair were due to appear at Southampton Magistrates Court today (September 13).
Four other men arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply drugs and possession of a firearm, aged 27, 30, 37 and 39, have been released from custody but remain under investigation.
