BISHOPSTOKE was turned into a sea of colours as the carnival returned.
Dozens of people lined the streets of the village to enjoy the parade on Sunday.
This year's theme was ‘under the sea’ and residents of all ages took part to the procession to showcase their costumes.
Beginning at the community centre at 1pm the procession made its way down Sydney Road, out to cross Church Road and along Stoke Park Road.
Taking part to this year's event there were the Bishopstoke Players, as well as Stepping Out Academy of Performing Arts, Happy Days Nursery, Bishopstoke Brownies and Rainbows and Precious Steps Pre-School which came first.
Owner Helen Wilson said: "It's the first time we came first and we are just really proud to be part of the community. The staff and children worked really hard on their costumes. We are so so pleased, we are all very excited."
A fair at the Meadow brought the event to a close.
