A MAN has been jailed after admitting to burgling two Winchester homes.

Daniel Taylor, of Waterhouse Close, Twyford, was sentenced to 15 months behind bars after also admitting three counts of fraud and a breach of a community order.

Winchester Crown Court heard that the 36-year-old broke into two homes in Goring Field, Teg Down, on March 12 and 13, stealing items including tools and jewellery.

The court also heard a credit card was later used without the owner’s permission at three Eastleigh stores.

Commenting on the sentence, Detective Constable Craig Robinson, of Hampshire Constabulary’s Operation Hawk, said: “Burglary is an intrusive and upsetting crime and can cause real concern for local communities.

“I am glad therefore we have been able to bring sometime to justice quickly.”
