RESIDENTS on a Southampton street are already planning their fourth party after the successes of this year's celebrations.

The Guide Dog pub on Ancasta Road, Bevois Valley, hosted their third annual street party on Saturday, September 8.

Following its success, the community, along with organisers Chris Lucas and pub General Manager Gary Clements, are already planning their party for next year.

This year's celebrations saw performances for a variety of local folk musicians, morris dancers and story telling acts to draw in the crowds.

The party began in the pub courtyard with morris dancing from local group Red Stag Morris and performances from folk group Jigfoot.

Once inside the pub, celebrations continued with live music from alt-folk band Tenderlore and swing group Bad Cat.

The night also heard the "haunting sound" of acoustic guitar player, Adria Smilges, and entertainment from Phil King with his lyrical music.

A spokesperson from the event said: "Planning is already underway for the fourth annual Ancasta Road street party in Bevois Valley, Southampton.

"It follows the recent very successful street party which proved the city has a wealth of talent."

They added: "There were many tributes paid to organisers Chris Lucas and Gary Clements, who proved yet again that the city has some very fine artists."
