TWO men stole almost £2,000 worth of cigarettes during a raid on a delivery lorry.

The thieves struck while the lorry was making a delivery at the Co-Op store on South East Road, Southampton.

They stole a bag containing approximately £1,900 worth of cigarettes.

Police say the incident took place between 2.20pm and 2.35pm on Sunday, September 16.

Officers are now looking to trace two men who were seen riding a motorbike in the area.

They are also looking for dashcam footage of the motorbike travelling in the vicinity before or after the incident, as well as anyone who may have been offered cigarettes for sale in unusual circumstances in the locality.
