A 18-YEAR-OLD from Ringwood was assaulted after trying to stop a fight near Subway in Bournemouth.

The incident happened sometime between 8.30pm and 9.30pm on Thursday, September 13.

The victim was outside Subway on Charminster Road with friends when he witnessed an altercation between two men in the road.

The victim - an 18-year-old man from Ringwood - tried to stop the fight but was hit three times on the back of the head by an unknown sharp implement.

He was treated at hospital for cuts to his head.

One of the men was described by victim as being of Turkish origin with short dark hair. He was aged in his mid to late 20s, around five feet eleven inches tall and of stocky build. He was wearing a light-coloured tracksuit.

The second man is described as being black, around five feet ten inches tall and aged in his 30s. He had a shaved head and was wearing a dark blue jacket.

Police Constable Jon Park, of Bournemouth police, said: "I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to please get in touch.

"I would also like to speak to anyone who can identify the two men described or has any information that could assist with my investigation."
