THE BEDFORD pub has a brand new look.

The public house on Bedford Place unveiled their new revamp on September 21 following a £275,000 investment.

Now with a more 'laid-back feel' to the venue, the pub has had a complete inner and outer make-over which embodies a 'retro appeal.'

There are also many new features such as charging points for phones and laptops, WiFi, flat screen televisions, as well as printing services, geared towards students as they return to the area.

There are also retro games such as Pac-Man and a large variety of board games on offer for customers to use.

Elton Asidiku, the manager said: "I really like the new refurb, it looks fantastic and I hope that it will encourage a lot of new customers to come in.

"We want to offer a chilled out experience for our customers, and I think our new facilities will really encourage that."

Elton told the Echo that although they have many facilities that are geared towards students that they have a mixed clientele of different ages.

He said: "We are in a fantastic location and the customers we have here are really friendly."

The pub have also recently launched a new menu with a variety of vegetarian and vegan options.

Elton said: "We do lots of different offers including 25pence chicken wings every Wednesday and a quiz night on a Thursday."

Their most recent quiz night was Harry Potter themed and Elton said: "It was so busy here, the place was packed."

They have also replaced their old pool table and have tried to make the venue feel more 'spacious.'

Elton said: "People should come along for a drink here, we do great deals on a Friday with crafts and cocktails only costing £3."
