A DRINK driver caught three times the alcohol limit behind the wheel has been banned.
John Martin Ferries was caught driving under the influence on Marsh Lane, Lymington.
When he was breathalysed by officers, results showed he had 116 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
At Southampton Magistrates' Court, Ferries was given an 18-month community order, including the requirement to carry out 80 hours unpaid work.
He was ordered to pay £85 victim surcharge and £85 costs, and banned from driving for three years.
