PART of a Southampton housing estate was sealed-off this morning after a gas leak.
Firefighters rushed to Thornhill today after reports of a damaged pipe spewing gas into the street.
Crews from Botley and Hightown attended the incident, on Browning Avenue, which took place around 8.40am today.

An area around the pipe was cordoned off for safety and covering jets put in place.
A team from Southampton City Council and Southern Gas Networks (SGN) also attended.
Southern Gas managed to isolate the gas pipe, before fixing the leak.
