POLICE are preparing for a 'potential protest' outside a Hampshire refinery.
The Echo understands workers are planning a protest outside the Fawley Refinery / Petrochemical Complex this morning.
A source, who wished to remain anonymous, told the Echo the protest was due to a row over bonus payments.
Police have confirmed they are aware.
In a statement, a spokesperson for Hampshire Police said: "We have been made aware of a potential protest outside Fawley Refinery / Petrochemical Complex tomorrow.
"We will continue to monitor the situation."
The site is owned by Esso, the trading name for ExxonMobil.
The Echo has contacted a spokesperson for a comment.
