FIREFIGHTERS were called to student accommodation twice in one day.
Crews from St Mary’s and Redbridge rushed to Marland House on Windsor Terrace at 1am on Sunday morning and 8.30pm later that evening.
Residents were evacuated from the block but a fire spokesperson said both incidents were false alarms.
Another spokesperson added: “It was an unknown activation of the call point. The call point was manually activated but no one owned up to it. It’s quite common.”
