THE family of a motorcyclist who died in a collision in Southampton earlier this month have released a tribute.
Police were called to The Avenue in Southampton on 4 October following a collision involving a silver Volkswagen Touran and a grey and red Triumph motorbike.
The collision took place shortly before 5.20pm at the junction with Winn Road.
John Malcolm Hall, 45, of Rectory Court, Botley, was driving the motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Volkswagen, a 35-year-old woman, and the passenger, a 15-year-old girl, both from Southampton, were treated for shock.
Mr Hall's family have since paid tribute to the 45-year-old.
In a statement, the family said: “We are heartbroken to share the devastating news that John never made it home after being fatally injured in a road traffic incident on October 4.
“He is our world, my soul mate, and the most patient, caring daddy to our beautiful son.
"We are lost without him."
The family added their thanks to the members of the public who stopped at the scene to try and help Mr Hall.
Officers are still appealing for information about the crash.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting 44180374338.
