THE trial of two people who allegedly caused or allowed the death of a three-week-old baby is set to start today.
Samuel Lloyd Davies, of Mayfield Road, Southampton, and Roxanne Laura Davis, of Lee Road, Gosport, were both arrested following the death of infant Stanley Davis in March last year.
The baby, from Gosport, was admitted to Queen Alexandra Hospital with serious injuries on March 21, but died on March 28.
Davies, 23, and Davis, 29, will face an allegation under section five of the Domestic Violence, Crime and Victims Act 2004 - causing or allowing the death of a child or vulnerable adult.
The trial is set to begin at Winchester Crown Court.
