A BUSY Southampton road is to be closed tonight.
Portland Terrace in Southampton City Centre will close tonight for bus lane repair work.
The road will be closed from Portland Street to Castle Way and the diversion route will be via Palmerston Road.
The overnight closures will be in place from 8pm-6am and will last until November 5.
The repair work comes as work continues on the reconstruction of Millbrook Roundabout, which started on October 1 and will last until April next year.
The roundabout is undergoing £8.3 million-worth of improvements, including a new road surface, updated traffic signals, and a dedicated two-way cycle route.
The closures have caused significant delays throughout the city.
