SAINTS fans now have the chance to own their own piece of unique memorabilia.

In a charity auction, Saints fans have the opportunity to win a one-off watercolour painting of star striker Danny Ings, by artist Louise Cobbold.

Cobbold is auctioning ten original watercolours she created for Wolverhampton Wanderers matchday magazine this season, with Ings featuring on the cover of the edition from Saints’ 2-0 loss away at Molyineux Stadium, alongside Wolves defender Ryan Bennett.

When asked why she chose to paint Ings, Cobbold said: "You could actually say it was the Southampton fans who chose Danny Ings, as he was the winner of an online Twitter poll, finishing ahead of Mario Lemina and Jannick Vestergaard."

She added: "This was the second time this season we have asked away fans to vote for who they would like on the cover. The selection of players for these polls is not based purely on popularity/profile, albeit that clearly matters, but also on the availability of suitable photographs. Any photos of those on the shortlist need to not only work as individual paintings but also as part of a blended composition with the image we have in mind for the Wolves player, in this case Ryan Bennett."

Southampton’s number 9 features alongside paintings of Manchester City Boss Pep Guardiola, Ashley Barnes of Burnely, and Evertons star man Richarlison in the charity auction.

The list of stars painted by Cobbold also includes Wolves Manager Nuno Espírito Santo, and five other Wolverhampton Wanderers players.

She said: "It is a genuine privilege to be providing the programme cover artwork for Wolves, particularly with this being their first season back in the Premier League! I am so grateful to the club for this opportunity, to the fans (both home and away) for their encouragement and support regarding my work & to the photographers who allow me to use their photos as, without them, none of this project would be possible."

Bidding is currently open for all paintings, and will be open until October 28 at 9pm.

Each of the paintings will come mounted, framed and will feature a signature from both Louise Cobbold and the star painted.

By bidding for the paintings, you can raise funds for Cure Leukaemia, Good Shepherd Ministry Wolverhampton, Race Against Blood Cancer and YMCA Black Country.

Limited Edition prints will also be made available to ensure Louise’s art remains accessible to all fans, with 20% of profit from sales being donated to Cure Leukaemia. An A3 size will cost £40, and A2 will be £50 plus postage. These will be available from www.sportspersonalities.org/shop on October 29.
