POLICE have launched an appeal after a cyclist was seriously injured in a suspected 'hit-and-run' in Southampton.
The incident happened on Aldermoor Road, Lordshill, when a cyclist was struck by a car at the junction with Olive Road.
The cyclist, a 51-year-old man, attended Southampton General Hospital for treatment on a broken and dislocated knee.
Police say the car, described as being brown and medium sized, failed to stop at the scene.
The incident was reported to police the following day.
Officers are now appealing for information about the collision, which took place around 9.30am on Wednesday, October 24.
