FOUR people have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a stabbing at a Southampton car park.

It comes after police sealed off Gloucester Square Car Park, near Town Quay, yesterday morning.

Officers say the area was cordoned off after a Southampton man, 50, was rushed to hospital with stab wounds.

The incident is said to have taken place around 3pm on Tuesday, October 30.

Officers say they have now arrested four men have now been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

 

Three are from Greater London and are aged 20, 21 and 26; the fourth is aged 23 and of no fixed abode.

All four men remain in police custody at this time.

The victims remains in a stable condition.

Police are appealing for information from anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area of the High Street, Gloucester Square, Briton Road or Lower Canal Walk between 2pm and 4pm on Tuesday.

They are also appealing for sightings of a grey Peugeot 206, registration number PN53 YLH, in the same area between 2pm and 7pm.
