FRIENDS and supporters gathered for a special event at a Hampshire pub.
The launch of a new CD in aid of Southampton Veterans Drop-In Centre saw dozens pack out the Cottage Inn on Woolston Road.
Written by veteran punk rockers The BC Experiment, The Bells was launched in time for this month’s centenary commemorations of the end of The First World War.
And so far all CDs have been sold – meaning more than £1,000 has been raised for the recently opened Woolson drop-in centre.
The provides support for city veterans in the form of counselling, medical support or just a cup of tea and a chat.
