ARMED Forces can travel by train for free on Remembrance Day.
South Western Railway is offering free travel for members of the armed forces, as well as for volunteers on City Poppy Day Appeal event.
Current serving troops, veterans and cadets will be offered the free travel to mark 100 years since the end of the First World War, which saw 186,475 railway workers serve with nearly 19,000 of them losing their lives during the conflict.
Alan Penlington, customer experience director for South Western Railway said: “We support the Royal British Legion as a significant number of our team come from a service background and are pleased to honour the armed forces with this offer of free travel."
