Remembrance Sunday: Here's where you can pay your respects

All corners of Hampshire will pause during a two minute silence marking the centenary of the end of the First World War.

One hundred years ago, on the 11th hour, of the 11th day, of the 11th month, World War One officially ended back in 1918.

The two minute silence will take place on Remembrance Sunday to pay tribute to those who lost their lives during the First World War and all of the men and women who have served since.

The first two-minute silence was held one year after the end of the First World War when King George V asked the public to observe a silence at 11am.

Earlier this year as reported by The Echo, a number of Silent Soldiers were installed around the county to mark 100 years since the end of the First World War.

The figures took the shape of a British Tommy and are to represent the 1.1 million British and Empire service men and women who died during the war.

The figures also commemorate those who returned home, but whose lives would never be the same again.

The cast iron figures are to be displayed around the county in open spaces, parks and roundabouts and will remain in place until December.

• Beaulieu: A remembrance service will be held at Beaulieu Abbey Church on Palace Lane at 10am which will include a reading of the Roll of Honour and a two-minute silence.
• At 3pm, St Paul's Church East Boldre on Cripple Gate Lane will also hold a Remembrance service.
• Botley:

• Chandler's Ford: There will be a civic service at 10.45am held at St Boniface Church on Hursley Road.
• Copythorne: Copythorne British Legion have arranged for everyone to meet at Copythorne Parish Hall at 9.30am, and will then march to St Marys Church for 9.45am. There will then be a service at 10am, a memorial service at 10.55am, and an opportunity to lay wreaths outside the cenotaph afterwards.
• Eastleigh: A morning service will take place at the War Memorial, Leigh Road Recreation Ground, and at St Edwards Church, Netley Abbey, from 10.15am - 11.45am. A number of road closures will be in force during the Sunday services and parades.
• Closed: Botley High Street, from its junction with Mortimers Road to its junction with Winchester Street from 10.45am-11.45am. Mitchell Road, Wells Place Desborough Road, Leigh Road and A335 Romsey Road will be closed for the parade between 10.15am-12.30pm.
• Fareham: There will be a service at Holy Trinity Church at 9.45am. The names of loved ones who lost their lives as serving members in British Armed Forces' conflicts will be read out during "Forever Remembered" at the war memorial. There will be a Parade from the Duke of Connaught's Own Club in Western Road to the war memorial stepping off at 10.36am. The parade will march down Kings Road onto West Street arriving at the war memorial where the two minutes silence will be observed at 11am followed by the wreath laying ceremony and church service.
• In the evening there are Prayers for Peace in St Mary’s Church, Fordingbridge at 6.30pm which will conclude with the national ringing of the bells in over 1,000 towers across the UK at 7.05pm
• Gosport: A Remembrance parade will take place from 9.30am at War Memorial Hospital on Bury Road. The event will run until 11.30am and music will be provided by brass band Gosport Solent Brass.
• Hedge End: King’s Community Church on Upper Northam Road are to host a Remembrance service starting at 10.15am with refreshments and pastries. The community will mark the centenary with a traditional band, the Berrywood School Choir and a Remembrance message.
• Keyhaven: There will be a service of Remembrance at 2pm at Keyhaven War Memorial.
• Lymington: A parade will form at 9am at Lymington Town Hall car park and will begin at about 9.25am. The parade is due to arrive at St Thomas Church at 9.45am and a church service will be held at 10am. Crowns will make their way to War Memorial at 10.45am followed by an exhortation organised by the Royal British Legion and the playing of the Last Post.
• Lyndhurst: There will be a church service held at St Michael's Church at 10.45am. A parade will form outside the church at 12pm and will head down the street to the memorial at Bolton's Bench. There will be a short service and a laying of wreaths. The service will finish with an RAF fly-by - weather permitting.
• Milford-on-Sea: All Saints Parish Church on Greenbanks Close will hold a Remembrance service at 3pm.
• Netley: A service will take place at 3pm at the Military Cemetery, Royal Victoria Country Park.
• New Milton: A service will be held at War Memorial Recreation Ground at 10.30am and will finish at 11.30am.
• Romsey: A parade lead by the Royal British Legion will start in Love Lane at 9.10am and march to Romsey Abbey via The Hundred, Market Place and Church Street. A civic service will start at 9.30am in Romsey Abbey and after the service the parade will reform in Church Lane at 10.30am to march to the War Memorial Park. The Romsey Branch of the Royal British Legion, officers and men of the 22nd Regiment Royal Engineers, Romsey Old Cadet Band and a number of uniformed civilian organisations will take part to this year's parade There will be a two minutes silence at 11am followed by the laying of wreaths at War Memorial Park.
• Organisers said road closures will be kept to the minimum with sections of roads in the town centre being opened and closed as required between 8am and noon.
• Southampton: A service will be held at 10.55am at The Cenotaph. At approximately 10.35am, there will be a Military and Veterans Parade to the Cenotaph starting from Guildhall Square. The Parade will be followed by the Mayoral Civic Procession. There will be music and singing led by The City of Southampton Albion Band and the Southampton Choral Society. There will also be a guided walk at 11.30am meeting at Guildhall Square which will recall the struggles of the people of Southampton during the First World War.11.30am, Southampton from Blitz to D-Day.
• The Festival of Remembrance will take place at Mayflower Theatre at 7.30pm. It will be an evening of music, song, poetry and special memories. Councillor Satvir Kaur, cabinet member for Homes and Culture said: “Southampton people have a long and proud history linked to the World Wars, and it is important that we all come together to remember all those from our local and diverse communities that sacrificed so much for our freedoms today. “I would urge everyone to come with their families to remember with us.”
• Totton: A parade will form on Beumont Road and then march down to the Totton War Memorial on Salisbury Road for a service of Remembrance that will start at 10.35am. There will be a two-minute silence at 11am.
• Wickam: At St Nicholas Church in Wickham, worshippers are launching a new Act of Remembrance as part of this year’s commemorations. The church has planted 69 Royal British Legion poppy crosses on the village green opposite the church, one for each of the local men listed on the church’s war memorial boards. Soil from significant places from the First World War, including Arras, Ypres and the Somme, will be scattered on this Field of Remembrance.
• Winchester: There will be a service at 10am at Winchester Cathedral followed by Sung Eucharist at 11.30am.
