POLICE are hunting a man they want to speak to after £400 worth of socks and underwear was stolen from Next.
The incident happened at the shop in Charles Watts Way at some point between 8.40pm and 8.50pm on October 22.
Staff in the store confronted a man and a woman on suspicion of shoplifting.
The man became verbally abusive and lunged at staff, while the woman pushed a staff member.
The suspects left the store with about £300-£400 worth of socks and underwear.
The woman was described as about 25-years-old.
The man was described as:
- Asian
- 25-40-years-old
- About 5’ 10” tall
- Medium build
- Black hair
- Large, black beard
- He was wearing a grey hooded top and jogging bottoms, trainers and a camouflage baseball cap
Police like to hear from anyone who recognises and man from the CCTV or description, or from anyone who witnessed the incident.
