TWO lanes of the M27 were closed after a crash.

Emergency services rushed to the scene this afternoon when a private vehicle and a commercial van collided on the outside lane near junction 9 of the M27 at Park Gate. 

Services were called at 14.50 this afternoon. 

Firefighters from Hightown, Fareham and Cosham were called to the incident. 

Traffic chiefs said lane two and three of the M27 westbound, near Park Gate, were closed due to the incident.

A spokesperson for South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) said: "I can confirm that we were called at 14:54 to the M27 today at the Park Gate junction.

"We had an ambulance crew on scene assessing the people in the vehicles however following that assessment no one was taken onto hospital."
