FIREFIGHTERS were called to an unattended bonfire beside a former pub which is being partially demolished.
The incident occurred at the old Bridge Tavern in Ipers Bridge Road, Holbury, just before 7pm yesterday.
A crew from Hardley fire station was called out and spent about an hour at the scene.
The Bridge Tavern closed in 2014. Two years ago the New Forest National Park Authority (NPA) approved plans to bulldoze 20th century extensions and build a two-storey addition which will mimic the design of the original house.
Demolition work started last month.
